Ace Syrup

• Presentation:
  • Each 5 ml contains Paracetamol BP 120 mg.
  • Available in bottles of [mention typical bottle size, e.g., 60 ml or 100 ml].
• Indications: Ace Syrup is indicated for the relief of:
  • Fever.
  • Mild to moderate pain such as headache, toothache, earache, muscular aches, and pain associated with colds and flu.
• Dosage and Administration:
  • Dosage should be based on the child's weight. If weight is not known, use the age guidelines provided below. Doses may be repeated every 4 to 6 hours as needed, but not more than 4 times in 24 hours.
  • Children 6-12 years: 5-10 ml (1-2 teaspoonfuls).
  • Children 1-5 years: 2.5-5 ml (½-1 teaspoonful).
  • Children 3 months-1 year: 1.25-2.5 ml (¼-½ teaspoonful).
  • Infants under 3 months: Use only as directed by a physician.
  • Use the provided measuring device or a marked teaspoon to ensure accurate dosing.
• Pharmacology:
  • Paracetamol is a centrally acting analgesic and antipyretic. It produces analgesia by elevation of the pain threshold and antipyresis through action on the hypothalamic heat-regulating center.   
• Side Effects:
  • Side effects of paracetamol are usually mild and infrequent when taken at recommended doses. Allergic reactions such as skin rash may occur rarely.
• Precautions:
  • Use with caution in patients with liver or kidney disease.
  • Consult a physician if fever persists for more than 3 days or pain for more than 5 days.
  • Do not exceed the recommended dose.
• Storage:
  • Store below 30°C, protected from light.
  • Keep out of the reach of children.
