Alprax 0.5

Presentation: Each tablet contains 0.5 mg Alprazolam.

Indications: Treatment of anxiety disorders and panic disorder.

Dosage & Administration: Dosage is individualized and depends on the condition being treated and your response. For anxiety disorders, the usual starting dose for adults is 0.25 to 0.5 mg two or three times a day. Your doctor may gradually increase the dose as needed, with a maximum daily dose usually not exceeding 4 mg. For panic disorder, the initial dose is often lower, such as 0.5 mg three times a day, and may be increased. Follow your doctor's instructions carefully. Tablets should be swallowed whole with water.

Side Effects: Common side effects include drowsiness, dizziness, lightheadedness, headache, dry mouth, and fatigue. Less common side effects may include blurred vision, changes in appetite, constipation, diarrhea, irritability, and memory problems.

Precautions: Inform your doctor if you have liver or kidney problems, lung disease, glaucoma, or a history of drug or alcohol abuse. Alprazolam can be habit-forming and should be used exactly as prescribed. Avoid abrupt discontinuation as withdrawal symptoms can occur. Use caution with alcohol and other central nervous system depressants. May cause drowsiness and impair your ability to drive or operate machinery. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
