Apocal-D 15's 

Presentation: Film-coated tablets containing Calcium Carbonate BP equivalent to Elemental Calcium 500 mg and Vitamin D3 BP 200 IU (as Cholecalciferol). Available in strips of 15 tablets, manufactured by Apex Pharmaceuticals Ltd. in Bangladesh.

Indications: Indicated for the prevention and treatment of calcium and Vitamin D deficiency. Also used as a supplement in cases of inadequate calcium intake, such as in osteoporosis, osteomalacia, rickets, pregnancy and lactation, and in elderly patients. May also be used as a phosphate binder in chronic renal failure under medical supervision.

Dosage and Administration: The usual adult dosage is one tablet once or twice daily, preferably with or just after a meal to improve absorption, or as directed by a physician.

Side Effects: Common side effects may include flatulence, diarrhea, constipation, and upper gastrointestinal discomfort. Hypercalciuria and hypercalcemia have been rarely reported with prolonged use at high doses.

Precautions: Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any component, hypercalcemia, hyperparathyroidism, hypercalciuria, nephrolithiasis, and severe renal insufficiency. Use with caution in patients with mild to moderate renal failure, mild hypercalciuria, pre-existing heart disease, sarcoidosis, and kidney diseases. May interact with digoxin, antacids containing calcium, aluminum, or magnesium, other calcium or Vitamin D3 supplements, tetracycline, doxycycline, minocycline, or oxytetracycline.

Storage: Store in a cool and dry place, protected from light. Keep out of reach of children. Store below 30°C.
