Ardance 10

Presentation: Each tablet of Ardance 10 contains 10 mg of empagliflozin.

Indications: Ardance (empagliflozin) is indicated in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus:  

• As an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control. 
• To reduce the risk of cardiovascular death in adultpatients with type 2 diabetes mellitus and established cardiovascular disease.  

Dosage and Administration:The recommendeddose of Ardance is 10 mg once daily, taken in the morning, with or without food. In patients tolerating Ardance 10 mg, the dose may be increased to 25 mg once daily. In patients with volume depletion, correcting this condition prior to initiation ofArdance is recommended. Renal function should be assessed prior to initiation of Ardance and periodically thereafter. Ardance should not be initiated in patients with an eGFR less than 45 mL/min/1.73 m².

Side Effects:The most common adverse reactions associated with Ardance are urinary tract infections and female genital mycotic infections. Othercommon side effects may include increased urination, increased thirst, nausea, and dehydration.

Precautions: Ardance is contraindicated in patients with a history of serious hypersensitivity reaction to empagliflozin or any of its ingredients, severe renal impairment, end-stage renal disease, or⁵dialysis. It is not recommended for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of urinary tract infections or genital infections.

Storage: Keep in a cool and dry place (below 30° C), protected from light and moisture. Keep out of the reach of children.
