Ardance-L 25/5

Presentation: Each tablet of Ardance-L 25/5 contains 25 mg of empagliflozin and 5 mg of linagliptin. Ardance-L tablets are available in blister packs containing a specific number of tablets. Please refer to the product packaging for exact details.

Indications:Ardance-L is indicated as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus.  

Dosage and Administration:The recommendeddose is one tablet of Ardance-L 10/5 mg (if available) or 25/5 mg once daily, taken in the morning, with or without food. The choice of strength should be determined by the physician based on the patient's condition and response. Renal function should be assessed before initiating Ardance-L and periodically thereafter. Ardance-L should not be initiated if eGFR is below 45 mL/min/1.73 m² and should be discontinued if eGFR falls below this level.

Side Effects: Common side effects may include urinary tract infections, female genital mycotic infections, nasopharyngitis, and increased urination. Hypoglycemia may occur when Ardance-L is used in combination with insulin or insulin secretagogues. Other possible side effects include dehydration and hypotension.

Precautions: Ardance-L is contraindicated in patients with severe renal impairment, end-stage renal disease, or dialysis, and in patients with a history of hypersensitivity reaction to empagliflozin or linagliptin. It should not be used for the treatment of type 1 diabetes mellitus or diabetic ketoacidosis. Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of pancreatitis, heart failure, and in those at risk of volume depletion.

Storage: Store below 30°C, protected from moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
