Ariupra 10

Presentation: Each tablet contains Aripiprazole 10 mg.

Indications: Ariupra is indicated for the treatment of schizophrenia in adults and adolescents (13 years and older). It is also used for the treatment of manic or mixed episodes of bipolar I disorder in adults and children (10 years and older), and as an adjunctive treatment for major depressive disorder in adults. Ariupra may also be used for the treatment of irritability associated with autistic disorder in children and adolescents (6 to 17 years of age), and for the treatment of agitation associated with schizophrenia or bipolar mania.

Dosage and Administration: The dosage of Ariupra is individualized and depends on the specific condition being treated, the severity of the symptoms, and the patient's response.

• Schizophrenia (Adults): The usual starting dose is 10 to 15 mg once daily.
• Schizophrenia (Adolescents 13-17 years): The usual starting dose is 2 mg once daily, gradually increased to a target maintenance dose of 10 mg once daily.
• Bipolar Mania (Adults): The usual starting dose is 15 mg once daily as monotherapy or 10 to 15 mg once daily as adjunct therapy.
• Bipolar Mania (Children and Adolescents 10-17 years): The usual starting dose is 2 mg once daily, gradually increased to a target maintenance dose of 10 mg once daily.
• Adjunctive Treatment of Major Depressive Disorder (Adults): The usual starting dose is 2 to 5 mg once daily, with a target dose of 5 to 10 mg once daily.
• Irritability associated with Autistic Disorder (Children and Adolescents 6-17 years): The starting dose is based on the child's weight and is typically 2 mg once daily, adjusted by the physician based on response.
• Agitation associated with Schizophrenia or Bipolar Mania (Adults): The initial dose is usually 5 to 10 mg, with subsequent doses as needed, not exceeding 30 mg/day.

Ariupra tablets can be taken with or without food, usually once daily. Follow the physician's instructions carefully.

Side Effects: Common side effects may include headache, akathisia (restlessness), somnolence, insomnia, anxiety, nausea, vomiting, constipation, asthenia (weakness), and increased appetite. Other side effects may occur.

Precautions: Exercise caution in patients with known cardiovascular disease, cerebrovascular disease, conditions predisposing to hypotension, history of seizures, Alzheimer's dementia, and risk factors for metabolic changes such as hyperglycemia, diabetes mellitus, dyslipidemia, and weight gain. Monitor for tardive dyskinesia and neuroleptic malignant syndrome. May impair judgment, thinking, and motor skills; caution when driving or operating machinery. Avoid alcohol consumption. Inform the physician about pregnancy, планирование беременности, or breastfeeding. Aripiprazole may increase the risk of suicidal thoughts and behaviors in some young adults and children. Elderly patients with dementia-related psychosis have an increased risk of cerebrovascular adverse events and mortality with antipsychotic medications.

Drug Interactions: Ariupra can interact with various other medications. Inform the physician of all current medications, including prescription drugs, over-the-counter medications, and herbal supplements. Particular attention shouldbe paid to interactions with CYP3A4 inhibitors (e.g., ketoconazole, fluoxetine, paroxetine), CYP3A4 inducers (e.g., carbamazepine), and other centrally acting drugs.

Storage: Store below 30°C, protected from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
