Presentation: Tablets or syrup containing a combination of B-complex vitamins, including Thiamine (B1), Riboflavin (B2), Pyridoxine (B6), and Nicotinamide (B3). Strengths may vary.
Indications: Treatment and prevention of Vitamin B-complex deficiencies, which can manifest as glossitis, stomatitis, cheilosis, beriberi, and polyneuritis. May also be used to support growth, appetite, and overall health during convalescence or in cases of restricted diets.
Dosage and Administration: For tablets, the usual adult dose is 1-2 tablets three times daily. For syrup, the usual adult dose is 1-2 teaspoonfuls (5ml each) three times daily. Children's and infants' dosages vary and should be as directed by a physician.
Side Effects: Generally well-tolerated. Allergic reactions are possible. High doses of individual B vitamins may rarely cause specific side effects.
Precautions: Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients. Pyridoxine may reduce the efficacy of levodopa in Parkinson's disease. Exercise caution in patients with a history of allergic reactions to vitamins.
Storage: Store tablets or syrup below 25°C, away from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
