Indications

Atofix ointment is used topically to treat atopic dermatitis, commonly known as eczema. Please follow your registered physician's advice regarding medication use.

Composition

0.3% Ointment: Each gram of ointment contains Difamilast INN 3 mg. 1% Ointment: Each gram of ointment contains Difamilast INN 10 mg.

Pharmacology

Difamilast is a phosphodiesterase 4 inhibitor. It increases cyclic adenosine monophosphate concentration and suppresses the production of inflammatory cytokines to help treat atopic dermatitis.

Dosage and Administration

Adult Dosage: Apply an appropriate amount of the Difamilast 1% ointment to the affected area twice daily. Pediatric Dosage: Apply an appropriate amount of the Difamilast 0.3% ointment to the affected area twice daily. Follow your registered physician's instructions at all times.

Contraindications

Difamilast is contraindicated in individuals with a known hypersensitivity to the drug.

Side Effects

The ointment is generally well tolerated at recommended dosages. Higher dosages may cause mild skin reactions at the site of application, including redness, burning, or stinging.

Pregnancy and Lactation

Difamilast is not recommended for pregnant women or women who may possibly be pregnant. The safety profile for use during breastfeeding has not been fully established.

Precautions and Warnings

Route of Administration: For external use only. Atofix ointment is not intended for oral, ophthalmic, or intravaginal use. Adverse Reactions: If any hypersensitivity issues arise, treatment should be discontinued.

Storage Conditions

Keep below 30 degrees Celsius, protected from light and moisture, and out of the reach of children.
