Benvit Z 100ml

Presentation: Syrup containing Thiamine Hydrochloride BP 5 mg, Riboflavin-5-Phosphate Sodium BP 2.74 mg (equivalent to Riboflavin 2 mg), Pyridoxine Hydrochloride BP 2 mg, Nicotinamide BP 20 mg, and Zinc Sulfate Monohydrate USP 27.45 mg (equivalent to elemental Zinc 10 mg) per 5 ml. Available in 100 ml bottles, manufactured by Benham Pharmaceuticals Ltd. in Bangladesh.

Indications: Benvit-Z is indicated for the treatment and prevention of zinc and vitamin B deficiencies. This combination is used when the body requires supplemental intake of these essential nutrients due to inadequate dietary intake, malabsorption, or increased demand. Zinc is vital for immune function, wound healing, growth, and development, while B-vitamins are crucial for energy production, nerve function, and red blood cell formation.

Dosage and Administration:

• Adults: 10 ml (2 teaspoonfuls) 2 to 3 times daily or as recommended by the physician.
• Children: 10 ml (2 teaspoonfuls) 1 to 3 times daily or as recommended by the physician.
• Infants: 5 ml (1 teaspoonful) 1 to 2 times daily or as recommended by the physician.

Benvit-Z syrup can be taken with or without food. However, taking it after meals may help reduce potential gastrointestinal discomfort. Use the provided measuring spoon or cup for accurate dosage. Follow the doctor's instructions regarding the duration of treatment.

Side Effects: Benvit-Z syrup is generally well-tolerated. However, some individuals may experience mild gastrointestinal disturbances such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, or stomach upset. Allergic reactions to any of the ingredients are rare.

Precautions: Benvit-Z is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of its ingredients. Caution should be exercised in patients with acute renal failure as zinc accumulation may occur, requiring dosage adjustment. Concomitant intake of tetracyclines and zinc may decrease the absorption of tetracyclines. Similarly, concomitant administration of zinc and fluoroquinolones may decrease the absorption of some fluoroquinolones. Pyridoxine may reduce levodopa's effectiveness.

Storage: Store in a cool and dry place, protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
