Strength: Each capsule contains Rivastigmine 3 mg (as Rivastigmine Tartrate USP).

Indications:

Benzenod is used for the symptomatic treatment of mild to moderately severe dementia in:

• Alzheimer's disease.
• Idiopathic Parkinson's disease.

It helps to manage symptoms by improving memory and thinking.

Dosage and Administration:

• The usual starting dose is 1.5 mg twice a day, taken with morning and evening meals.
• The dose may be increased gradually by your doctor every 2 weeks based on tolerability, up to a maximum of 6 mg twice a day.
• Follow your doctor's instructions carefully.

Contraindications:

• Hypersensitivity to rivastigmine or other carbamate derivatives.

Side Effects:

• Very Common: Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea.
• Common: Loss of appetite, indigestion, abdominal pain, dizziness, headache, fatigue, weakness, weight loss, increased sweating.

Precautions:

• Inform your doctor if you have heart problems, stomach ulcers, epilepsy, or asthma.
• May cause dizziness or sleepiness, so caution is advised when driving or operating machinery.

Use in Pregnancy & Lactation:

• Pregnancy: Unsafe to use during pregnancy.
• Lactation: Probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding.
