Bispep 100ml 

Presentation:Each 5 ml of Bispep oral suspension contains Bismuth Subsalicylate BP 87.5 mg.

Indications: Bispep (Bismuth Subsalicylate) is indicated for the relief of:

• Upset stomach  
• Indigestion  
• Heartburn  
• Nausea  
• Diarrhea  

Dosage and Administration:

• Adults (over 16 years): 30 ml (6 x 5 ml spoonfuls) using the provided dosing cup, every ½ to 1 hour as needed. Do not exceed 8 doses in 24 hours.
• Children (10-14 years): 15 ml (3 teaspoons) every ½ to 1 hour as needed. Do not exceed 8 doses in 24 hours.
• Children (5-9 years): 7.5 ml (1 ½ teaspoons) every ½ to 1 hour as needed. Do not exceed 8 doses in 24 hours.
• Children (3-4 years): 5 ml (1 teaspoon) every ½ to 1 hour as needed. Do not exceed 8 doses in 24 hours.
• Children under 3 years: Ask a doctor.
• Elderly: No special precautions are needed.
• Patients with renal insufficiency: Caution should be taken.

Shake the bottle well before each use.

Side Effects:Common side effects include black stool and black tongue, which are temporary and harmless.Other possible side effects include nausea, vomiting, and constipation. In rare cases, bismuth toxicity may occur with prolonged or excessive use.  

Precautions: Bispep (Bismuth Subsalicylate) should not be used in patients hypersensitive to aspirin or other salicylates or any ingredient in the formulation. Caution should be exercised in patients taking medications to thin the blood (anticoagulants), oral medications for diabetes, or treatment for gout or arthritis. Do not use if symptoms are severe or persist for more than 2 days or if a high fever is present.

Use in Pregnancy and Lactation: Bismuth Subsalicylate should not be used during lactation unless clearly necessary. There are no adequate data concerning its use in pregnant women.

Storage:Keep below 30°C, away from light and moisture.Keep out of reach of children.
