Presentation: Usually contains Calcium Orotate. Available in strengths such as 400 mg and 740 mg. Tablets are typically in strips. Manufactured by Delta Pharma Ltd. and possibly other companies in Bangladesh.

Indications: Used to prevent or treat low blood calcium levels, especially in those with inadequate dietary intake. May be used for osteoporosis, osteomalacia, rickets, latent tetany, postmenopausal, senile, juvenile, and drug-induced osteoporosis. Also indicated during pregnancy and lactation. Some sources suggest potential use in inflammatory diseases, weight management, mood swings, and cognitive enhancement.

Dosage and Administration:

• Calcium Orotate 400 mg: Usually 2-3 tablets daily with meals.
• Calcium Orotate 740 mg: Usually 1-2 tablets daily with meals. Follow physician's directions.

Side Effects: Common: bloating and abdominal swelling. Infrequent: loss of appetite, upset stomach, constipation, nausea, vomiting, increased thirst/urination, weakness, headache, rarely kidney stones.

Precautions: Contraindicated in kidney stones, kidney disease, increased parathyroid activity, high calcium in urine or blood, severe dehydration, and incomplete/infrequent bowel movements. Use caution in allergies, heart disease, pancreatic disease, sarcoidosis, malabsorption syndrome. May interact with bisphosphonates, quinolone and tetracycline antibiotics, levothyroxine, phenytoin, and thiazide diuretics.

Storage: Store below 30°C, in a cool and dry place, protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
