Calcin-O 

Presentation: Tablets, available in strengths of 400 mg and 740 mg. Manufactured by Renata Limited in Bangladesh.

Ingredients: Contains Calcium Orotate.

Indications: Used to prevent or treat low blood calcium levels in individuals who do not get enough calcium from their diet. May be used for conditions such as osteoporosis, osteomalacia, rickets, latent tetany, postmenopausal osteoporosis, senile osteoporosis, juvenile osteoporosis,and drug-induced osteoporosis. Also has uses against various inflammatory diseases and may aid in weight control and cognitive enhancement.

Dosage & Administration:

• Calcium Orotate 400 mg: Usually 2-3 tablets daily with meals, or as directed by a physician.
• Calcium Orotate 740 mg: Usually 1-2 tablets daily with meals, or as directed by a physician.

Side Effects: Common side effects may include bloating and swelling in the abdomen. Infrequent side effects may include loss of appetite, stomach discomfort, constipation, nausea, vomiting, unusual weight loss, increased thirst/urination, weakness, unusual tiredness, and kidney stone formation.

Precautions: Contraindicated in individuals with incomplete or infrequent bowel movements, kidney stones, kidney disease, increased parathyroid gland activity, high calcium levels in urine or blood, and severe water loss. Use with caution in individuals with allergies to Calcium Orotate, kidney disease, kidney stones, little or no stomach acid, heart disease, pancreatic disease, sarcoidosis, or malabsorption syndrome.

Storage: Keep out of reach of children. Store in a cool and dry place, protected from light.
