Calcin-O (30) contain

Presentation: Tablets containing Calcium Orotate Dihydrate INN equivalent to Calcium Orotate. Available in packs of 30 tablets (strips). Strengths available are typically 400 mg and 740 mg.

Ingredients: Calcium Orotate Dihydrate INN. The amount of Calcium Orotate per tablet will be specified on the packaging (either 400 mg or 740 mg).

Indications: Used for low blood calcium levels due to insufficient dietary intake. May help with calcium deficiency in conditions like osteoporosis, osteomalacia, rickets, latent tetany, and drug-induced osteoporosis. Also used during pregnancy and lactation and for certain inflammatory conditions.

Dosage and Administration: Dosage depends on the tablet strength and individual needs, as directed by a physician. Usually 2-3 tablets (400 mg) or 1-2 tablets (740 mg) daily with meals.

Side Effects: Common: bloating, abdominal swelling. Infrequent: loss of appetite, upset stomach, constipation, nausea, vomiting, unusual weight loss, increased thirst/urination, weakness, tiredness, kidney stones.

Precautions: Contraindicated in certain bowel conditions, kidney stones, kidney disease, high parathyroid activity, high calcium levels in urine/blood, and severe dehydration. May interact with some antibiotics, bisphosphonates, levothyroxine, and phenytoin. Thiazide diuretics and certain antacids may also interact.

Storage: Keep out of reach of children. Store in a cool, dry place, protected from light.
