Calcium-D Pot 

Presentation: Film-coated tablets containing Calcium Carbonate (elemental source) and Vitamin D3 (Cholecalciferol). 

Ingredients: Elemental Calcium (as Calcium Carbonate) and Vitamin D3 (Cholecalciferol). The specific amounts of each ingredient are mentioned on the product packaging.

Indications: Indicated for the treatment and prevention of calcium and Vitamin D deficiency. Used in conditions such as osteoporosis, osteomalacia, rickets, tetany, and parathyroid disorders. Also used as a supplement during pregnancy and lactation, for bone growth, and in elderly patients. May be used as a phosphate binder in chronic renal failure under medical supervision.

Dosage and Administration: Dosage depends on the strength of the tablet and the individual's needs, as directed by a physician. Typical adult dosage is one to two tablets daily, preferably with or just after a meal to improve absorption

Side Effects: Generally well-tolerated. Possible side effects may include constipation, flatulence, nausea, vomiting, stomach cramps, dry mouth, increased thirst, and increased urination.

Precautions: Contraindicated in patients with hypercalcaemia, hyperthyroidism, renal calculi, nephrolithiasis, and Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome. Caution should be exercised in patients with pre-existing heart or kidney disease. May interact with certain medications, including antacids containing calcium, aluminum, or magnesium, other calcium and Vitamin D3 supplements, digoxin, and certain antibiotics.

Storage: Keep in a dry place away from light and heat. Keep out of reach of children.
