Calnor is a combination antihypertensive medication used to lower blood pressure. It combines two different mechanisms to help relax blood vessels and improve blood flow.

📋 Indications

• Hypertension: Used alone or with other agents to treat high blood pressure.

• Initial Therapy: Often prescribed for patients who likely need multiple agents to reach their blood pressure goals.

🥄 Dosage and Administration

• Standard Starting Dose: Usually 5/20 mg once daily for 1 to 2 weeks.

• Titration: May be increased up to a maximum of 10/40 mg once daily based on doctor's advice.

• Elderly (>75 years): Initial therapy with this combination is not recommended due to specific dosing requirements for Amlodipine in this age group.

⚠️ Safety and side effects

• Common Side Effects: Headache, flushing, dizziness, and peripheral edema (swelling of ankles/feet).
