Presentation: Tablets containing 740 mg of calcium orotate. Pack sizes may vary depending on the formulation available in Bangladesh.

Indications: Indicated for the prevention and treatment of calcium deficiency in individuals who do not obtain sufficient calcium from their diet. It is used in conditions such as osteoporosis, osteomalacia, rickets, latent tetany, postmenopausal osteoporosis, senile osteoporosis, juvenile osteoporosis, and drug-induced osteoporosis. It may also be used during pregnancy and lactation and in certain inflammatory conditions.

Dosage and Administration: The usual adult dose is 1 to 2 tablets daily, with meals, or as directed by a physician. The tablets should be swallowed whole with water. Always follow the dosage instructions provided by your doctor.

Side Effects: Common side effects may include bloating and swelling in the abdomen. Infrequent side effects may include loss of appetite, upset stomach, constipation, nausea, vomiting, increased thirst or urination, weakness, and headache.

Precautions: Contraindicated in individuals with kidney stones, kidney disease, increased activity of the parathyroid gland, high levels of calcium in the blood or urine, and severe dehydration. Use with caution in individuals with a history of allergies, heart disease, pancreatic disease, sarcoidosis, or malabsorption syndrome. May interact with certain medications, including bisphosphonates, quinolone and tetracycline antibiotics, levothyroxine, and phenytoin.

Storage: Store below 30°C, protected from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
