Calvimax-D 

Presentation: Tablets containing Calcium Carbonate and Vitamin D3 (Cholecalciferol), available in various strengths (e.g., Calcium 500mg + Vitamin D3 200 IU). Available in bottles or strips.

Ingredients: Calcium Carbonate BP (amount specified) and Vitamin D3 BP (amount specified).

Indications: For treatment and prevention of Calcium and Vitamin D deficiency. Used in osteoporosis, osteomalacia, rickets, tetany, and low parathyroid hormone levels. Also for adequate Calcium intake during pregnancy, breastfeeding, childhood growth, and with certain medications. May be used as a supplement.

Dosage & Administration: Adults and children over 12 years: Usually 1-2 tablets daily, with or after meals. Dosage depends on strength and individual needs.

Side Effects: Rarely, mild gastrointestinal issues like constipation, gas, nausea, or stomach pain. Occasional skin rash with Vitamin D. High doses long-term may cause high calcium in urine and rarely high calcium in blood.

Precautions: Contraindicated in high calcium levels, high thyroid hormone levels, kidney stones. Caution in mild to moderate kidney issues or high calcium in urine. Consider other calcium and vitamin D sources.

Storage: Store in a cool, dry place, protected from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
