Cardi Q

Presentation: Usually presented as soft gelatin capsules containing Coenzyme Q10 (Ubidecarenone) [Strength, e.g., 50 mg or 100 mg]. Available in blister packs or bottles containing [Number] capsules, manufactured by Square Pharmaceuticals PLC in Bangladesh.

Indications: Cardi Q (Coenzyme Q10) is indicated for the treatment and prevention of Coenzyme Q10 deficiency. It is also used to support cardiovascular health, including in conditions like congestive heart failure, hypertension, and angina. Additionally, it may be used for neurological disorders, migraine prevention, improving exercise performance, and male infertility, as directed by a physician.

Dosage and Administration: The usual dosage is 1 to 3 capsules daily after a meal or as directed by a registered medical practitioner. Dosage varies depending on the condition being treated and the strength of the capsule. Follow the physician's instructions carefully. Taking smaller amounts two or three times a day instead of a large amount at once may help reduce side effects.

Side Effects: Coenzyme Q10 is generally safe and well-tolerated at recommended doses. Occasionally, mild gastrointestinal discomfort, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, dizziness, and skin rash may occur, particularly with higher doses.

Precautions: Cardi Q is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to Coenzyme Q10 or any of the excipients and in patients scheduled for surgery in the next two weeks. It should not be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Caution should be taken in patients with diabetes or hypoglycemia as Coenzyme Q10 may lower blood sugar levels. It may also decrease blood pressure, so caution is advised in patients with low blood pressure or those taking blood pressure medications.Inform your doctor about all other medications you are taking, including statins (which may reduce CoQ10 levels), warfarin (may reduce its effectiveness), and antidiabetic medications (may require dose adjustment).
