Cinaron 15

Presentation: Each tablet contains Cinnarizine BP 15 mg. Available in strips of 10 tablets (1 strip).

Indications: Cinaron is indicated for the maintenance treatment of labyrinthine disorders, including vertigo, tinnitus, nausea, and vomiting. It is also used for the prophylaxis of motion sickness and as adjunctive therapy in the maintenance treatment of symptoms of cerebrovascular origin, including dizziness, tinnitus, irritability, and memory loss, and in the maintenance treatment of symptoms of peripheral vascular disorders, including Raynaud's phenomenon, acrocyanosis, intermittent claudication, and trophic disturbances.

Dosage and Administration:

• Labyrinthine Disorders and Vertigo: The usual adult dose is 1 tablet (15 mg) three times daily.
• Motion Sickness: The usual adult dose is 1 tablet (15 mg) at least 30 minutes before travel, followed by 1 tablet every 8 hours during the journey if needed.
• Cerebrovascular and Peripheral Vascular Disorders: The usual adult dose is 2 tablets (30 mg) two or three times daily.

The dosage for children should be determined by the physician based on their weight and condition. Cinaron tablets should be swallowed whole with some liquid and can be taken with or without food. Follow your physician's instructions carefully regarding the dose and duration of treatment.

Side Effects: Common side effects may include drowsiness, gastrointestinal disturbances (such as nausea and abdominal discomfort), and weight gain. Less common side effects can include headache, dry mouth, and allergic reactions. In elderly patients, prolonged use at high doses may sometimes lead to extrapyramidal symptoms (such as tremor and rigidity).

Precautions: Exercise caution in patients with Parkinson's disease, as cinnarizine may exacerbate the symptoms. Use with caution in patients with hypotension. May cause drowsiness, especially at the start of treatment; caution should be exercised while driving or operating machinery. Avoid alcohol consumption. Inform your physician if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Storage: Store below 30°C in a dry place, protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
