Cinaron Plus

Presentation:Tablets containing a combination of Cinnarizine BP and Dimenhydrinate BP.The specific strengths of each active ingredient (typically Cinnarizine 20mg and Dimenhydrinate 40mg) and the number of tablets per strip are determined by Square Pharmaceuticals Ltd. in Bangladesh.

Indications:Cinaron Plus is indicated for the prophylaxis and maintenance therapy of symptoms associated with cerebral circulatory disorders such as dizziness, tinnitus, vascular headache, irritability, fatigue, sleep rhythm disorders, memory loss, and lack of concentration.It is also used for sequelae of cerebral and cranial trauma, post-apoplectic disorders, and migraine.Additionally, it is indicated for peripheral circulatory disorders and for the prophylaxis and maintenance therapy of symptoms of labyrinthine arteriosclerosis, vestibular irritability, Meniere's syndrome (vertigo, dizziness, tinnitus, nystagmus, nausea, vomiting), and the prophylaxis of motion sickness.  

Dosage and Administration:The usual adult dose is one tablet three times daily, to be taken after meals with liquid, or as advised by a registered medical practitioner.It is not recommended for children and adolescents under the age of 18 years.Dosage for elderly patients is the same as for adults.  

Side Effects:Side effects such as somnolence and gastrointestinal disturbances are reported to be extremely rare and transient.They may be minimized by gradually achieving the optimal dosage and by taking the medication after meals. Other potential side effects may include dry mouth, headache, and drowsiness.Patients should consult their healthcare provider if they experience persistent or bothersome side effects.

Precautions: Cinaron Plus should not be used by patients with severe hepatic impairment or known hypersensitivity to the active substances or any of the excipients. It is contraindicated in patients with angle-closure glaucoma, convulsions, suspicion of raised intracranial pressure, alcohol abuse, or urine retention due to urethroprostatic disorders.Caution should be exercised in hypotensive patients and in patients with Parkinson's disease. Concurrent use of alcohol, CNS depressants, or tricyclic antidepressants may potentiate the sedative effects of either these drugs or of Cinnarizine and Dimenhydrinate.The safety of this combination in human pregnancy and lactation has not been established, and it should be avoided during these periods.  

Storage:Store below 30°C, away from light and moisture.Keep Cinaron Plus out of the reach and sight of children.
