Cinaryl 15 Tablet - (15mg Cinnarizine)

Presentation: Each tablet contains 15 mg of Cinnarizine. Available in strips.

Indications: Cinaryl 15 is primarily used for the relief of symptoms of labyrinthine disorders, including vertigo (dizziness), tinnitus (ringing in the ears), and nausea. It is also used for the prophylaxis of motion sickness and as an adjunct in the treatment of peripheral vascular disorders.

Dosage and Administration: For labyrinthine disorders, the usual adult dose is 15 mg three times daily. For motion sickness, the recommended adult dose is 15 mg taken 2 hours before travel, followed by 7.5 mg every 8 hours during the journey if needed. For peripheral vascular disorders, the usual adult dose is 22.5 mg (1.5 tablets) two or three times daily. Cinaryl 15 tablets should be swallowed whole with water and can be taken with or without food.

Side Effects: Common side effects may include drowsiness, weight gain, and gastrointestinal disturbances such as nausea and stomach upset. Less common side effects can include headache, dry mouth, and allergic reactions. In elderly patients, long-term use may sometimes be associated with the development or worsening of extrapyramidal symptoms (such as tremors or slow movements).

Precautions: Inform your doctor if you have a history of Parkinson's disease or other movement disorders. Cinnarizine may cause drowsiness, so caution should be exercised while driving or operating machinery. Avoid alcohol consumption as it can enhance the sedative effects. Use in pregnant or breastfeeding women should be carefully considered and only if clearly needed.

Storage: Store below 30°C in a dry place, protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
