- Dosage is highly individualized and depends on the condition being treated, the severity of the symptoms, and the patient's response. Always follow your doctor's instructions carefully.
- Epilepsy:
- Adults: The initial dose should not exceed 1.5 mg/day, divided into three doses. Dosage may be increased in increments of 0.5 to 1 mgevery 3 days until seizures are adequately controlled or until side effects preclude further increase. The maximum daily dose should not exceed 20 mg.
- Children (up to 10 years or 30 kg body weight): The initial dose is 0.01-0.03 mg/kg/day given in 2 or 3 divided doses. The dosage may be increased by 0.25-0.5 mg every 3 days until a maintenance daily dose of approximately 0.1 mg/kg body weight has been reached or until seizures are adequately controlled or until side effects preclude further increase.
- Panic Disorder:
- Adults: The initial dose is 0.25 mg twice daily. An increase to the target dose of 1 mg/day (given as 0.5 mg twice daily) may be made after an interval of 3 days. Dosage increases beyond 1 mg/day are not recommended in panic disorder.
- Clon 0.5 tablets should be swallowed whole with water.
