Cloron 1 Tablet contains 1 mg of Clonazepam. It is manufactured by Eskayef Pharmaceuticals Ltd. (in Bangladesh).

Indications: Cloron is indicated for the treatment of:

• Panic disorder, with or without agoraphobia.
• Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome (petit mal variant), akinetic, and myoclonic seizures, alone or as an adjunct.
• Absence seizures (petit mal) in patients who have failed to respond to succinimides.

Dosage and Administration: The dosage is individualized by your doctor. Some general recommendations:

• Adults with Seizure Disorders: The usual initial dose is 0.5 mg three times a day. Your doctor may increase this dose gradually, typically by 0.5 to 1 mg every three days, until your seizures are controlled or side effects become too bothersome. The maximum recommended daily dose is 20 mg.
• Adults with Panic Disorder: The usual starting dose is 0.25 mg twice daily. Your doctor may increase this to a target dose of 1 mg per day, usually after 3 days. The maximum recommended daily dose is 4 mg.
• Pediatric Patients: The starting dose will be determined by your child's doctor, usually between 0.01 and 0.03 mg/kg per day, divided into two or three doses. The dose may be gradually increased as needed.

Cloron tablets can be taken with or without food. It is important to follow your doctor's instructions precisely and not to stop taking this medication suddenly without their guidance, as this can lead to withdrawal symptoms.

Side Effects: The most common side effects are related to its effects on the central nervous system and include:

• Drowsiness (very common)
• Ataxia (poor coordination, difficulty with balance)
• Dizziness

Other possible side effects include:

• Fatigue
• Depression
• Memory problems
• Confusion
• Irritability
• Slurred speech
• Muscle weakness
• Abnormal eye movements

Precautions:

• Use with caution in patients with chronic lung problems or kidney or liver issues. Elderly or weakened patients may need lower doses.
• Cloron can make you feel drowsy and can affect your ability to think clearly or react quickly. Be cautious when driving or operating machinery until you know how it affects you.
• Avoid drinking alcohol while taking Cloron, as it can worsen its sedative effects.
• This medication can be habit-forming, so it's important to use it exactly as prescribed by your doctor.
• Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding.

Contraindications: Cloron should not be used if you have:

• Known allergy to clonazepam or other benzodiazepines.
• Significant liver disease.
• A type of glaucoma called acute narrow-angle glaucoma.

Drug Interactions: Cloron can interact with other medications, especially those that also slow down the central nervous system, such as:

• Other sedatives or tranquilizers
• Antidepressants
• Antipsychotics
• Opioid pain relievers
• Alcohol
