Conpan 0.5 Tablet - (0.5mg Clonazepam)

Presentation: Each tablet contains 0.5 mg of Clonazepam BP. 

Indications: Conpan 0.5 is indicated for the treatment of various seizure disorders, including Lennox-Gastaut syndrome, akinetic and myoclonic seizures. It is also used in the treatment of panic disorder.

Dosage and Administration: The dosage of Conpan 0.5 is highly individualized and depends on the condition being treated, the severity of symptoms, and the patient's response.

• Seizure Disorders (Adults): The initial dose is typically 0.5 mg three times a day. The maintenance dose is usually 4 to 8 mg per day in divided doses.
• Seizure Disorders (Children): The initial daily dose for infants and children up to 10 years of age (or 30 kg of body weight) is between 0.01 and 0.03 mg/kg body weight per day, given in two or three divided doses. The daily dose may be increased by 0.25 to 0.5 mg every third day until a maintenance daily dose is reached.
• Panic Disorder (Adults): The initial dose is 0.25 mg twice daily. An increase to a maintenance dose of 1 mg/day, given as two doses, may be made after an interval of 3 days.

Conpan 0.5 tablets should be swallowed whole with water. It is crucial to follow your doctor's instructions carefully regarding the dose and frequency of administration. Do not stop taking this medication abruptly without consulting your doctor, as it may lead to withdrawal symptoms.

Side Effects: Common side effects may include drowsiness, dizziness, fatigue, muscle weakness, ataxia (lack of coordination), and memory problems. Less common but potentially serious side effects can occur. Report any unusual or severe symptoms to your doctor immediately.

Precautions: Inform your doctor if you have any pre-existing medical conditions, such as a history of substance abuse, depression or suicidal thoughts, liver or kidney disease, or respiratory problems. Conpan 0.5 may cause drowsiness and impair the ability to drive or operate machinery. Avoid alcohol consumption while taking this medication. Use in pregnant or breastfeeding women is generally not recommended and should only be considered if the potential benefits outweigh the risks.

Storage: Store below 30°C, protected from light and moisture. Keep out of the reach of children.
