D-Dopa 275 Tablet - (250mg Levodopa + 25mg Carbidopa)

Presentation: Each tablet contains 250 mg of Levodopa and 25 mg of Carbidopa.

Indications: D-Dopa 275 is used to treat symptoms of Parkinson's disease, including stiffness, slow movement, and tremors. Levodopa converts to dopamine in the brain, while carbidopa helps more levodopa reach the brain. It may also aid motor recovery after stroke when combined with physiotherapy.

Dosage and Administration: Dosage is individualized by your doctor. Initial dose for those not on levodopa is usually half a tablet once or twice daily, increasing gradually. For those on higher levodopa doses, it may start at one tablet three or four times daily. Take with or without food, but avoid high-protein meals for better absorption. Follow your doctor's instructions carefully.

Side Effects: Common side effects may include nausea, vomiting, dry mouth, constipation, dizziness, sleepiness, headache, and abnormal dreams. Other possible effects include anxiety, involuntary movements, and low blood pressure upon standing.

Precautions: Inform your doctor if you have narrow-angle glaucoma or a history of melanoma. Use cautiously with heart, lung, kidney, liver, or endocrine problems. Avoid stopping suddenly. May interact with certain antidepressants.

Storage: Store below 30°C, protected from light and moisture, out of reach of children.
