D-Zole 1gm Tablet

Presentation: D-Zole 1gm is available as tablets, each containing Fluconazole BP 1 gram. It is a product of Delta Pharma Ltd. in Bangladesh and is usually available as a single tablet in a blister pack.

Indications: D-Zole (Fluconazole) is an antifungal medication indicated for the treatment of various fungal infections, including:

• Vaginal candidiasis (yeast infection of the vagina)

Dosage and Administration: D-Zole 1gm tablet is usually given as a single oral dose for the treatment of vaginal candidiasis. The tablet should be swallowed whole with water and can be taken with or without food. The dosage and duration of treatment for other fungal infections will vary depending on the type and severity of the infection and should be as prescribed by a physician.

Side Effects: Common side effects of D-Zole (Fluconazole) may include:

• Headache
• Nausea
• Abdominal pain
• Diarrhoea
• Indigestion

Less common side effects may include:

• Vomiting
• Rash
• Dizziness
• Changes in liver function tests

Rare but potentially serious side effects can include severe allergic reactions, liver damage, and heart rhythm problems.

Precautions: D-Zole (Fluconazole) is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to fluconazole or other azole antifungals.

Caution should be exercised in patients with:

• Liver or kidney problems.
• Heart conditions, especially those affecting heart rhythm.

Fluconazole can interact with several other medications. Inform your doctor about all the medicines you are currently taking, including over-the-counter drugs and herbal supplements.  

Use in Pregnancy and Lactation: Fluconazole may cause harm to an unborn baby if taken during pregnancy, especially at high doses or for prolonged periods. It should generally be avoided during pregnancy unless the potential benefit outweighs the risk to the foetus. Fluconazole passes into breast milk. Breastfeeding is not recommended while taking D-Zole. Consult a healthcare professional for advice.

Storage: Store below 30°C in a dry place, protected from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
