Danzol 100 

Presentation: Each capsule of Danzol 100 contains 100 mg of Danazol. It is available in strips or bottles.

Indications: Danzol (danazol) is indicated for the treatment of:

• Endometriosis.
• Benign fibrocystic breast disease (severe pain and tenderness).
• Hereditary angioedema (prevention of attacks).
• Heavy menstrual bleeding (menorrhagia).
• Preoperative thinning of the endometrium before hysteroscopic endometrial ablation.
• Gynecomastia.

Dosage and Administration: The dosage of Danzol 100 is individualized based on the condition being treated and the patient's response.

• Endometriosis: Usually 200-800 mg daily in divided doses for 3-6 months, may be extended up to 9 months.
• Benign breast disease: Usually 100-400 mg daily in divided doses for 3-6 months.
• Hereditary angioedema: Initially 200 mg two or three times daily, then reduced based on response.
• Menorrhagia: 200 mg once daily.
• Preoperative endometrial thinning: 400-800 mg daily in divided doses for 3-6 weeks.
• Gynecomastia: Adults: Initially 400 mg daily in divided doses for 6 months. Male adolescents: Initially 200 mg daily, may increase to 400 mg if no response after 2 months, for up to 6 months.
• Danzol capsules are taken orally, usually with food to minimize gastric upset. Follow your doctor's specific instructions.

Side Effects: Common side effects may include weight gain, acne, flushing, sweating, changes in voice, hair loss or increased hair growth, irregular menstrual periods, decreased breast size, vaginal dryness, and mood changes.

Precautions: Danzol is contraindicated in pregnancy, breastfeeding, undiagnosed abnormal genital bleeding, porphyria, markedly impaired liver, kidney, or cardiac function, androgen-dependent tumors, active thrombosis or thromboembolic disease, and hypersensitivity to danazol. Use with caution in patients with a history of seizures, migraine, or cardiovascular disease. Effective non-hormonal contraception should be used during treatment.

Storage: Store below 30°C in a dry place, protected from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
