Daparol 5 

Presentation: Each tablet contains Dapagliflozin Propanediol equivalent to Dapagliflozin 5 mg. Available in strips.

Indications:Daparol is indicated as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus.¹  

Dosage and Administration:The recommended starting dose²is 5 mg orally once daily, taken in the morning, with or without food. In patients tolerating Daparol 5 mg once daily who require additional glycemic control, the dose can be increased to 10 mg once daily. Assess renal function prior to initiation of therapy.

Side Effects: Common side effects may include female genital mycotic infections, urinary tract infections, increased urination. Less common side effects may include volume depletion, dizziness, and dyslipidemia.

Precautions: Contraindicated in patients with severe renal impairment, end-stage renal disease, or dialysis, and known hypersensitivity to dapagliflozin or any of the excipients. Not recommended for use in patients with type 1 diabetes mellitus or for the treatment of diabetic ketoacidosis. Use with caution in patients with a history of hypotension, heart failure, and bladder cancer.

Storage: Store below 30°C in a dry place, protected from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
