Defzort 6 

Presentation: Tablet containing 6mg Deflazacort. Available in strips.

Indications: Inflammatory/autoimmune conditions: allergic reactions, asthma, arthritis, lupus, skin disorders, kidney disease, bowel disease, eye inflammation, blood disorders, leukemia/lymphoma (palliative), transplant rejection.

Dosage and Administration: Individualized. Adults: acute up to 120mg/day initially, maintenance 3-18mg/day. Children: usually 0.25-1.5mg/kg/day. Oral use, follow doctor's instructions. Avoid abrupt withdrawal after prolonged use.

Side Effects: Increased appetite, weight gain, fluid retention, high BP, mood changes, insomnia, acne, increased hair growth, thin skin/bruising, impaired healing, increased infection risk, osteoporosis, muscle weakness, cataracts, high blood sugar.

Precautions: Systemic fungal infections, deflazacort hypersensitivity, live virus vaccines. Caution in liver/heart/kidney issues, HTN, thromboembolism, GI problems, diabetes, osteoporosis, psychiatric conditions, epilepsy, active infections. Pregnancy/lactation: consider risks.

Storage: Store below 30°C, dry place, protect from light/moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
