Dimerol MR 30 

Presentation: Dimerol MR 30 tablets are modified-release tablets containing 30 mg of gliclazide.

Indications: Dimerol MR is indicated for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults when diet, exercise, and weight reduction alone are insufficient to achieve adequate glycemic control.

Dosage and Administration: The dosage of Dimerol MR 30 is determined by the doctor based on individual blood glucose levels and may be adjusted over time. The usual recommended daily dose is one to four tablets (maximum 120 mg) taken as a single intake at breakfast time. The tablet should be swallowed whole with a glass of water and should not be chewed or crushed. It is crucial to eat a meal after taking Dimerol MR.

Side Effects: The most common side effect is hypoglycemia (low blood sugar). Other possible side effects may include gastrointestinal disturbances (nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea, constipation), headache, and skin reactions (rash, itching, hives).

Precautions: Dimerol MR is contraindicated in patients with type 1 diabetes, diabetic ketoacidosis, severe renal or hepatic impairment, and known hypersensitivity to gliclazide or other sulfonylureas or sulfonamides. Caution should be exercised in patients with moderate renal or hepatic impairment and elderly patients. Alcohol consumption should be avoided.

Storage: Store below 30°C in a dry place, protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
