Emfolin 25/5 

Presentation: Each tablet contains Empagliflozin INN 25 mg and Linagliptin INN 5 mg. Available in strips.

Indications: Indicated as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus.  

Dosage and Administration:The recommendeddose is one tablet (Empagliflozin 25 mg / Linagliptin 5 mg) once daily, taken in the morning, with or without food. Assess renal function before initiating therapy. Not recommended if eGFR is below 45 mL/min/1.73 m². Discontinue if eGFR falls below 45 mL/min/1.73 m².

Side Effects: Common side effects may include urinary tract infection, nasopharyngitis, and increased lipase. Hypoglycemia may occur when used with insulin or sulfonylureas.

Precautions: Contraindicated in patients with severe renal impairment, end-stage renal disease, or dialysis, and a history of hypersensitivity reaction to linagliptin or empagliflozin. Not for type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis. Use with caution in patients with renal impairment and those at risk of volume depletion.

Storage: Store below 30°C in a dry place, protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
