Emlino 25/5

Presentation: Each film-coated tablet of Emlino 25/5 contains empagliflozin INN 25 mg and linagliptin INN 5 mg. Emlino is manufactured by The ACME Laboratories Ltd. in Bangladesh.

Indications: Emlino (empagliflozin and linagliptin) is indicated as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus.  

Dosage and Administration:The recommendeddose of Emlino 25/5 is one tablet once daily, taken in the morning, with or without food. Renal function should be assessed before initiating Emlino and periodically thereafter. Emlino should not be initiated if eGFR is below 45 mL/min/1.73 m² and should be discontinued if eGFR falls below this level.

Side Effects: Common side effects may include urinary tract infections, nasopharyngitis, and increased urination. Hypoglycemia may occur when Emlino is used in combination with insulin or insulin secretagogues. Genital mycotic infections have also been reported.

Precautions: Emlino is contraindicated in patients with severe renal impairment, end-stage renal disease, or dialysis, and in patients with a history of hypersensitivity reaction to empagliflozin or linagliptin. It should not be used for the treatment of type 1 diabetes mellitus or diabetic ketoacidosis. Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of pancreatitis and in those at risk of volume depletion.

Storage: Store below 30°C, protected from moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
