Side Effects: Common side effects may include abdominal discomfort, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. Allergic reactions, including rash and anaphylaxis, are rare but can occur. Less common side effects may include headache and reversible hearing loss. Prolonged use or high doses may rarely lead to liver problems.
Precautions: Erybac (Erythromycin) is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to erythromycin or any other macrolide antibiotic. It should be used with caution in patients with impaired hepatic function. Inform your doctor about all other medications you are taking.
Use in Pregnancy and Lactation: Erythromycin is classified as Pregnancy Category B by the FDA.
