Escilex 10

Presentation: Each tablet contains 10 mg Escitalopram (as Escitalopram Oxalate).

Indications: Treatment of major depressive episodes, panic disorder with or without agoraphobia, social anxiety disorder (social phobia), generalized anxiety disorder, and obsessive-compulsive disorder.

Dosage & Administration: The usual dosage is 10 mg once daily. Depending on your response, your doctor may increase the dose to a maximum of 20 mg daily. For panic disorder, the starting dose might be 5 mg daily for the first week before increasing to 10 mg. Take once a day, with or without food, preferably at the same time each day. Follow your doctor's instructions.

Side Effects: Common side effects may include trouble sleeping, ejaculation problems (mainly delayed ejaculation), feeling sick (nausea), increased sweating, tiredness, sleepiness, decreased sex drive, and difficulty having an orgasm.

Precautions: Inform your doctor if you have any heart problems, kidney or liver issues, a history of seizures, bipolar disorder, or glaucoma. Use caution with alcohol and other medications that affect the brain. Escitalopram may increase the risk of suicidal thoughts, especially in young people. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Do not stop taking this medication suddenly without talking to your doctor.

Storage: Store below 30°C, protect from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
