Ferti-Q 200 

Presentation: Capsules containing Ubidecarenone (Co-Enzyme Q10) USP 200 mg. Available in strips. Manufactured by The ACME Laboratories Ltd. in Bangladesh.

Ingredients: Ubidecarenone (Co-Enzyme Q10) USP 200 mg.

Indications: Indicated for various conditions including female infertility (due to poor ovarian reserve and polycystic ovary syndrome), male infertility (due to low sperm count and decreased sperm motility), Co-Enzyme Q10 deficiency, mitochondrial disorders, neurological disorders (myopathy, ataxia, genetic neuromuscular disease, migraine), muscular dystrophy, Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease, cardiovascular disorders (congestive heart failure, hypertension, angina pectoris, cardiomyopathy, perioperative cardiac protection), gingivitis, diabetes, asthma, increasing physical performance, cancer, and thyroid hormone-related complications.

Dosage & Administration:

  • Female infertility (Poor Ovarian Reserve): 200 mg three times daily for at least 2 months.
  • Female infertility (PCOS): 100 mg to 200 mg once daily for at least 3 months.
  • Male infertility (Low sperm count & decreased sperm motility): 200 mg two times daily for at least 2 months.
  • Co-enzyme Q10 deficiency: 150 mg daily.
  • Mitochondrial disorders: 150-160 mg or 2 mg/kg/day.
  • Heart failure in adults: 100 mg per day divided into 2 or 3 doses.
  • Recent myocardial infarction: 120 mg daily in 2 divided doses.
  • High blood pressure: 120-200 mg per day divided into 2 doses.
  • Isolated systolic hypertension: 60 mg twice daily.
  • Preventing migraine headache: 100 mg three times daily.
  • Parkinson's disease: 300 mg, 600 mg, 1200 mg, and 2400 mg per day in 3-4 divided doses.
  • Muscular dystrophy: 100 mg per day. It is recommended to take the capsule with food, especially with high lipid content, for better absorption.

Side Effects: Generally well-tolerated. Mild gastrointestinal side effects such as stomach upset, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea may occur. Allergic skin rashes have been reported in some individuals.

Precautions: Contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to Ubidecarenone or any of the excipients and in patients scheduled for surgery in the next two weeks. Caution should be taken in patients with diabetes or hypoglycemia as Co-Enzyme Q10 may lower blood sugar levels. It may also decrease blood pressure, so caution is advised in patients with low blood pressure or those taking blood pressure medications.May reduce the effectiveness of warfarin. Should not be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding without medical advice.

Storage: Store in a cool and dry place, protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
