Fluver 10

Presentation: Each tablet contains Flunarizine Hydrochloride equivalent to Flunarizine 10 mg.

Indications: Fluver is indicated for the prophylactic treatment of migraine (both common and classic). It may reduce the frequency and severity of migraine attacks. It is also used for the symptomatic treatment of vestibular vertigo (dizziness due to inner ear problems).

Dosage and Administration:

• Migraine Prophylaxis: The usual starting dose for adults under 65 years is 10 mg once daily at night. For adults 65 years and older, the starting dose is 5 mg once daily at night. The maintenance dose may be reduced to 5 mg daily, 5 days a week. Treatment duration is usually limited to 6 months. If there is no improvement after 2 months of treatment, it should be discontinued.
• Vestibular Vertigo: The recommended dose is 10 mg once daily at night. The treatment duration should generally not exceed 2 months.

Follow your physician's instructions carefully regarding the dose and duration of treatment.

Side Effects: Common side effects may include drowsiness, fatigue, increased appetite, and weight gain. Less common side effects can include depression, extrapyramidal symptoms (such as restlessness, slow movement, rigidity, and tremor), particularly in elderly patients, heartburn, nausea, stomach pain, insomnia, anxiety, galactorrhoea (breast milk production in women who are not breastfeeding), dry mouth, muscle ache, and skin rash.

Precautions: Exercise caution in patients with a history of depression or pre-existing extrapyramidal disorders. May cause drowsiness; caution should be exercised while driving or operating machinery. Fluver is not indicated for the treatment of acute migraine attacks. Use with caution in patients with liver disease. Inform your physician if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. May interact with hepatic enzyme inducers.

Storage: Store below 30°C in a dry place, protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
