Gaba-P CR 165is a controlled-release tablet containing Pregabalinat a strength of 165 mg.It is manufactured by Renata Limited in Bangladesh.  

Indications:

Gaba-P CR is indicated for the management of:

• Neuropathic pain associated with diabetic peripheral neuropathy. 
• Postherpetic neuralgia(nerve pain following shingles).  
• As adjunctive therapy for the treatment of partial-onset seizures in patients 1 month of age and older. 
• Fibromyalgia (widespread muscle pain and tenderness). 
• Neuropathic pain associated with spinal cord injury.  

Dosage and Administration:

The starting dose for Gaba-P CR is typically 165 mg once daily, usually administered after the evening meal. The dose may be increased based on individual patient response and tolerability, usually within a week, up to a maximum recommended dose of 330 mg once daily. The tablets should be swallowed whole and should not be split, crushed, or chewed.

Side Effects:

Common side effects of Pregabalin can include:

• Dizziness 
• Sleepiness (somnolence) 
• Dry mouth 
• Swelling (edema) 
• Blurred vision 
• Weight gain 
• Difficulty with concentration/attention  

Precautions:

Inform your doctor if you have kidney problems. Gaba-P CR may cause sleepiness and dizziness, so caution should be exercised while driving or operating machinery.18 Do not stop taking this medication suddenly without consulting your doctor, as it may lead to withdrawal symptoms.
