Glimicron MR 30

Presentation:Modified-release tablets containing 30 mg gliclazide.  

Indications:Management of type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults when diet and exercise alone are insufficient to achieve adequate glycemic control.  

Dosage and Administration:Usual starting dose is 30 mg once daily, taken with breakfast.Dosage may be adjusted gradually based on blood glucose levels, usually in increments of 30 mg, at intervals of at least one month, up to a maximum daily dose of 120 mg. Follow physician's instructions. Swallow tablets whole; do not crush or chew.  

Side Effects:Common: hypoglycemia.Other potential: gastrointestinal disturbances, skin reactions.Rare: blood count or liver function changes.

Precautions:Caution in renal/hepatic impairment, elderly, risk of hypoglycemia.Regular glucose monitoring essential. Avoid/minimize alcohol. Drug interactions possible. Not recommended in pregnancy/breastfeeding.  

Storage:Store below 30°C, dry place, protected from light, out of reach of children.
