Glinta Plus 10/5 

Presentation: Each tablet of Glinta Plus 10/5 contains Empagliflozin 10 mg and Linagliptin 5 mg. It is available in strips. The tablets have specific shapes and markings depending on the manufacturer (Renata Limited) in Bangladesh.

Indications: Glinta Plus is indicated in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus to improve glycemic control when treatment with both empagliflozin and linagliptin is appropriate.

Dosage and Administration: The recommended dose is 10 mg empagliflozin and 5 mg linagliptin once daily, taken in the morning, with or without food. The dose may be increased to 25 mg empagliflozin and 5 mg linagliptin once daily based on tolerability and glycemic control. Assess renal function before initiating.

Side Effects: Common side effects may include increased urination, urinary tract infections, and genital fungal infections. Hypoglycemia may occur when used with insulin or sulfonylureas. Other possible side effects include nasopharyngitis.

Precautions: Contraindicated in severe renal impairment, end-stage renal disease, dialysis, and hypersensitivity to empagliflozin or linagliptin. Not recommended during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy. Use with caution in patients with renal impairment, low blood pressure, heart failure risk, and those on diuretics. Monitor for signs of pancreatitis, ketoacidosis, and Fournier's gangrene.

Storage: Store below 30°C, away from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
