Glipita 100

Presentation: Tablets containing 100 mg sitagliptin.

Indications:Indicated as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus.May be used as monotherapy or in combinationwith other antidiabetic agents (e.g., metformin, sulfonylureas, thiazolidinediones, insulin).

Dosage and Administration: The usual recommended dose is 100 mg once daily, taken orally. It can be taken with or without food. Dosage adjustment is recommended in patients with moderate or severe renal impairment. Follow physician's instructions based on individual needs and renal function.

Side Effects: Sitagliptin is generally well-tolerated. Common side effects may include nasopharyngitis and upper respiratory tract infection. Hypoglycemia may occur when used in combination with insulin or sulfonylureas. Other potential side effects include headache, nausea, and constipation. Pancreatitis has been reported rarely.

Precautions: Use with caution in patients with renal impairment; dosage adjustment may be necessary. Monitor for signs and symptoms of pancreatitis. Hypoglycemia risk is increased when used with insulin secretagogues (e.g., sulfonylureas). Allergic reactions, including serious reactions, have been reported.

Storage: Store below 30°C, in a dry place, protected from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
