Indications

Gynomix is a vaginal suppository indicated for the treatment of:

• Vaginal trichomoniasis
• Vaginal leucorrhoeas
• Mixed vaginal infections (fungal or bacterial)

Composition

Each vaginal suppository contains a combination of four active ingredients:

• Metronidazole BP 200 mg
• Neomycin Sulphate BP 35000 IU
• Polymyxin B Sulphate BP 35000 IU
• Nystatin BP 100000 IU

Pharmacology

Gynomix combines multiple agents to combat various vaginal infections:

• Metronidazole: An antibiotic effective against anaerobic bacteria and protozoa.
• Nystatin: A polyene antibiotic with antifungal properties.
• Neomycin: An aminoglycoside with bactericidal activity against certain gram-positive and gram-negative organisms.
• Polymyxin B: An antibiotic active against gram-negative organisms, including Pseudomonas aeruginosa.

Dosage & Administration

The recommended dosage is one suppository inserted into the vagina at bedtime for 12 days, or as directed by a physician.

Contraindications

This product is contraindicated in patients who are hypersensitive to any of its components: Metronidazole, Neomycin Sulphate, Polymyxin B Sulphate, or Nystatin.

Side Effects

Skin rash and urticaria (hives) may occur rarely.

Pregnancy & Lactation

Caution should be exercised when using this product during pregnancy and lactation.

Precautions & Warnings

Caution should be taken in patients with renal impairment.
