Hapytab 50 is a brand name for a tablet containing 50 mg of Desvenlafaxine as the active ingredient. Desvenlafaxine is a selective serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor (SNRI) antidepressant. It is manufactured by Eskayef Pharmaceuticals Ltd. in Bangladesh.

Indications:

Hapytab is indicated for the treatment of Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) in adults.

Dosage and Administration:

The recommended dose for Desvenlafaxine Succinate (Hapytab) is 50 mg once daily, with or without food. It should be taken at approximately the same time each day and swallowed whole with fluid; it should not be divided, crushed, chewed, or dissolved. In clinical studies, doses between 50 and 400 mg per day were effective, but no additional benefit was demonstrated at doses greater than 50 mg, and higher doses were associated with more adverse reactions. When discontinuing therapy, gradual dose reduction is recommended to minimize discontinuation symptoms.
