Presentation: Film-coated tablets containing Calcium Orotate INN. Available in strengths of 400 mg and 740 mg in strips. Manufactured by Beacon Pharmaceuticals PLC in Bangladesh.

Ingredients: Calcium Orotate INN (Calcium Orotate Dihydrate). Available in 400 mg and 740 mg strengths per tablet.

Indications: Used to prevent or treat low blood calcium levels due to inadequate dietary intake. May help with calcium deficiency in conditions like osteoporosis, osteomalacia, rickets, latent tetany, postmenopausal osteoporosis, senile osteoporosis, juvenile osteoporosis,and drug-induced osteoporosis. Also indicated for various inflammatory diseases, potentially in weight management and cognitive enhancement, and may support heart health.

Dosage and Administration:

• Calcium Orotate 400 mg: Usually 2-3 tablets daily with meals, or as directed by a physician.
• Calcium Orotate 740 mg: Usually 1-2 tablets daily with meals, or as directed by a physician.

Side Effects: Common: bloating and abdominal swelling. Infrequent: loss of appetite, upset stomach, constipation, nausea, vomiting, unusual weight loss, increased thirst/urination, weakness, unusual tiredness,and the formation of kidney stones.

Precautions: Contraindicated in conditions like kidney stones, kidney disease, high calcium levels, and severe dehydration. May interact with certain antibiotics, bisphosphonates, levothyroxine, and phenytoin. Thiazide diuretics and some antacids may also interact.

Storage: Store in a cool and dry place, protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
