Icykool Max: Fast Relief for Muscle and Joint Pains
Icykool Max is a specially formulated topical cream designed for the fast relief of minor aches and pains in muscles and joints. It effectively targets pain associated with common conditions such as joint pain, back pain, arthritic pain, neck and shoulder pain, sprains, and strains.
How Icykool Max Works (Pharmacology)
Icykool Max cream combines the active ingredients Methyl Salicylate and Menthol to provide dual-action pain relief.
- Methyl Salicylate: This ingredient is rapidly absorbed through the skin, where it undergoes first-pass metabolism to release active salicylate in both the epidermis and dermis. Salicylate works by inhibiting the synthesis of prostaglandins, which are chemicals that contribute to pain and inflammation in affected tissues.
- Menthol: Menthol enhances the penetration of other drugs when applied to the skin, leading to a faster onset of action. It also dilates blood vessels, causing an initial sensation of coolness, followed by a deeper analgesic (pain-relieving) effect.
Together, these ingredients penetrate deep into the skin to provide fast, long-lasting, and effective relief from pain and stiffness.
