Juvain Tablet - (800mg)

Based on available information, Juvain 800mg tablet contains Piracetamas the active ingredient.  

Presentation:Each tablet contains 800 mg of Piracetam.Juvain 800mg is typically available in strips of 10 tablets.

Indications:Juvain (Piracetam) is used for various conditions related to cognitive function and neurological disorders, including:  

• Cerebral vascular accidents and insufficiencies (ischemic or hemorrhagic). 
• Chronic manifestations of cerebral atherosclerosis.
• Mental retardation in children (to ease resuming contact, sociability, learning, and improve intellectual performance). 
• Behavioral and psychotic problems in old age (memory deficits, adaptation disorders). 
• Cortical myoclonus (involuntary muscle jerks).  

Dosage and Administration:

• Adults: For cerebro-cortical insufficiency, the usual dose is one 800 mg tablet three times a day. For myoclonic seizures, the dosage can be much higher, starting at 7.2 grams daily and increasing as directed by a physician. 
• Children:The daily dosage depends on the child's weight, typically 50 mg/kg of body weight in three divided doses.The initial dose may be reduced by half once the desired results are achieved. 
• Juvain tablets should be swallowed whole and can be taken with or without food.

Side Effects: Common side effects may include nervousness, agitation, irritability, anxiety, sleep disturbances, weight gain, and involuntary movements. Less common side effects can include fatigue, drowsiness, gastrointestinal problems (nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach pain), dizziness, headache, and skin rashes.  

Precautions: Inform your doctor if you have kidney problems, as dose adjustments may be needed. Juvain is generally contraindicated in patients with severe renal or hepatic impairment and cerebral hemorrhage. Avoid abrupt withdrawal. Use with caution in patients with cardiac or hemostatic disorders. Information regarding use in pregnancy and breastfeeding is limited; consult your doctor. Juvain may cause drowsiness and affect the ability to drive.

Storage: Store as directed on the product packaging, usually in a cool, dry place. Keep out of reach of children.
