Presentation:Tablets containing 2.5 mg linagliptin and 1000 mg metformin hydrochloride.  

Indications: As an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus when treatment with both linagliptin and metformin is appropriate.  

Dosageand Administration: Individualized based on current regimen, typically twice daily with meals. Gradual dose escalation of metformin is recommended to minimize gastrointestinal side effects.Maximum daily dose is 5 mg linagliptin and 2000 mg metformin.Contraindicated in patients with eGFR below 45 mL/min/1.73 m². Follow physician's instructions.

Side Effects:Common side effects may include nasopharyngitis, diarrhea, and hypoglycemia (when used with sulfonylureas or insulin).Metformin may cause gastrointestinal disturbances such as nausea, vomiting, and abdominal discomfort.Lactic acidosis is a rare but serious side effect associated with metformin.

Precautions:Contraindicated in moderate to severe renal impairment, end-stage renal disease, dialysis, metabolic acidosis (including diabetic ketoacidosis), and hypersensitivity to linagliptin or metformin.Use with caution in patients with risk factors for lactic acidosis, heart failure, and hepatic impairment. Assess renal function before and during treatment.

Storage:Store below 30°C, in a dry place, protected from light and moisture.Keep out of reach of children.
