Luraprex 40is a tablet containing 40 mg of Lurasidone Hydrochloride.
It is manufactured by Square Pharmaceuticals PLCin Bangladesh.  

Indications:

Luraprex (Lurasidone) is indicated for the treatment of:

• Schizophrenia in adults and adolescents (13-17 years).  
• Depressive episodes associated with bipolar I disorder(as monotherapy or as adjunctive therapy with lithium or valproate)⁵in adults and children (10-17 years).  

Dosage and Administration:

The dosage will be determined by your doctor based on your specific condition and response to treatment. For schizophrenia in adults, the initial dose is usually 40 mg once daily.7 For adolescents, the starting dose is 20 mg once daily. For bipolar depression in adults, the starting dose is usually 20 mg once daily. For children and adolescents with bipolar depression, the starting dose is also usually 20 mg once daily. Luraprex should be taken with food. Swallow the tablet whole and do not chew, crush, or split it.

Side Effects:

• Common side effects may include:

• Restlessness (akathisia)

• Sleepiness (somnolence)

• Nausea

• Vomiting

• Fatigue

• Increased muscle stiffness or movement difficulties

• Anxiety

• Weight gain

• Increased levels of prolactin

Precautions:

Inform your doctor if you have a history of heart problems, seizures, diabetes, high cholesterol, liver or kidney disease. Lurasidone can interact with other medications.8 Avoid consuming grapefruit or grapefruit juice during treatment.9 Be aware of potential mood changes, anxiety, agitation, and suicidal thoughts, especially at the beginning of treatment or when the dose is changed.
