Lynes

Presentation:Lynes tablets typically contain a combination of two active ingredients: ethinylestradiol and lynestrenol.

Indications: Lynes is indicated for use as an oral contraceptive to prevent pregnancy. It may also be used in some cases for the treatment of menstrual disorders such as irregular periods.

Dosage and Administration:One tablet is to be taken orally each day, preferably at the same time, for 28 consecutive days.Start with the active hormone-containing tablets for 21 days, followed by the inert or iron-containing tablets for the next 7 days. A new pack should be started immediately after finishing the previous pack. The first tablet of the first pack is usually taken on the first day of menstruation.

Side Effects:Common side effects may include nausea, vomiting, headache, breast tenderness, weight changes, and mood changes.Less common but potentially serious side effects include blood clots (deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism), stroke, and myocardial infarction. Changes in libido, skin reactions, and changes in menstrual bleeding patterns may also occur.

Precautions: Lynes is contraindicated in women with certain conditions, including a history of blood clots, stroke, heart attack, severe liver disease, known or suspected estrogen-dependent tumors, and uncontrolled high blood pressure. It is not recommended for smokers over 35 years of age. Caution should be exercised in women with risk factors for thromboembolism, migraine with aura, diabetes mellitus, and hyperlipidemia. Certain medications may interact with Lynes, potentially reducing its effectiveness or increasing the risk of side effects.

Storage: Store below 30°C, in a dry place, protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
