Lyrinex 50 Capsule - (50mg Pregabalin)

Presentation: Each capsule contains 50 mg of Pregabalin.

Indications: Lyrinex 50 is indicated for the management of:

• Neuropathic pain associated with diabetic peripheral neuropathy.
• Postherpetic neuralgia (pain after shingles).
• Adjunctive therapy for partial-onset seizures in patients 1 month and older.
• Fibromyalgia.
• Neuropathic pain associated with spinal cord injury.

Dosage and Administration: Dosage varies depending on the condition. For neuropathic pain from diabetes, the starting dose is usually 50 mg three times a day (150 mg/day), which may increase to a maximum of 300 mg/day within one week. For postherpetic neuralgia, the starting dose is 75 mg twice daily or 50 mg three times daily (150 mg/day), potentially increasing to 300 mg/day within one week. For partial-onset seizures, the starting dose is usually no more than 150 mg/day (75 mg twice daily or 50 mg three times daily), with a maximum of 600 mg/day based on response. For fibromyalgia, the recommended dose is 300 to 450 mg/day, starting at 150 mg/day and increasing within one week. For neuropathic pain from spinal cord injury, the range is 150 to 600 mg/day, starting at 150 mg/day and increasing within one week. Lyrinex 50 capsules can be taken with or without food.

Side Effects: Common side effects include dizziness, sleepiness, dry mouth, swelling (edema), blurred vision, weight gain, and abnormal thinking.

Precautions: Inform your doctor if you have kidney disease. Discontinuation should be gradual over at least one week to avoid withdrawal symptoms like insomnia, nausea, headache, and diarrhea. May cause dizziness and drowsiness, affecting driving or operating machinery. Report any vision changes or unusual mood or behavior changes, including depression or suicidal thoughts.

Storage: Store in a cool and dry place (below 30°C), protected from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
